They are deemed as defective since they did not meet certain grade quality.
They are fixable! But need some work to bring it up to par. As such they are priced accordingly.
To fix them they can be filled, glued, bonded, sanded, melted, painted, cut, etc.

Depending on the grade you can expect some of the following:

Grade B
Articulated.
May have deep or frequent lines, tears, seams,
May be prepainted or experimented on.
May be ok but just an older version.
May be ok but in a different material.

Grade C
Like the above but;
May not be articulated or line up properly
May have deeper tears or breaks, bad surface lining in certain areas
